Job Opportunity: Stepdown Cardiac Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Chesterfield, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each; 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work in a Cardio Stepdown unit
• Requires strong cardiac nursing experience
• Provide patient care in a stepdown setting focusing on cardiac patients

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri
• Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Stepdown nursing experience, with experience within the last year
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Background checks including 7-year history, SSN verification, National Sex Offender, OFAC, FACIS Level 3, and education verification
• State-specific searches and verifications as required by Missouri regulations
• Education verification of highest level attained (high school diploma/GED required if no associate degree or higher)
• Physical exam signed by a physician or Advanced Practice Provider within the last year (renew annually)
• Fit mask certification (3M N95 or PAPR) within 1 year of start (renew annually)
• Immunizations and health screenings:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years
  • Negative TB test (Qgold or Tspot) within 12 months or chest X-ray if prior positive TB
  • Annual TB questionnaire signed by a physician
  • Measles, Mumps, Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines (exempt if born before 1957)
  • Hepatitis B: Proof of series, positive titer, or declination
  • Seasonal flu vaccination required by November 4th or mask required if declined (declinations require approval)
• Drug testing: 9-panel including marijuana within 30 days of start, renewed annually
• References: 2 supervisor-level references required, with at least one within 1 year of start

• No prior travel experience explicitly required
• Must complete all required documentation and background checks prior to start
• Night shift schedule with 36 hours per week (3 shifts of 12 hours)
• Strong cardiac nursing skills and experience in stepdown or telemetry settings are essential
