Registered Nurse (RN) - Temporary Assignment

Location: Pittsfield, Massachusetts
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Unit: Detox Unit (BMC McGee Unit)
• Shift: 8-hour shift, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
• Orientation: 8 hours non-billable
• Dress Code: Personal scrubs of any color
• Unit Size: 20 beds
• Accommodations: 10/12 hour shifts will NOT be considered
• Time Off: No more than 5 days of requested time off (RTO) allowed; all RTO must be submitted and approved upfront—no changes after offer

Experience & Requirements

• Specialty: Behavioral Health / Psychiatric Nursing
• Required Experience: Minimum 2 years current Behavioral Health experience
• Prior Travel Experience: At least 6 months previous travel experience required
• Preferred Experience: Meditech Expanse experience strongly preferred
• Education: BSN preferred
• Vehicle: Traveler must have their own vehicle for this assignment
• Licenses:

  • Massachusetts RN license must be active and in hand at time of profile upload (no pending licenses accepted)
  • Massachusetts Temporary Nursing Service Agency License required for agency submissions
• Certifications: BLS (AHA) required
• Profile Submission Requirements:

  • Work history and skills checklist current within 1 year
  • One supervisory signed reference from within the past 2 years
  • License and certifications uploaded with profile
  • Permanent address must be included in profile (travelers residing within 50 miles of facility will not be considered)
  • All scheduling requests and time off must be included at submission

  • Two inpatient psychiatry units
  • Inpatient chemical dependency unit
  • Clinical stabilization unit
  • Partial hospital program
  • Child crisis stabilization unit
  • Adult acute crisis houses and rehabilitation programs
  • Outpatient clinics and crisis team
• Multidisciplinary team includes psychiatrists, clinical nurse specialists, psychologists, social workers, and nurses

• Call-back, holiday, and overtime pay multipliers apply
• Facility will not approve scheduling requests after offer acceptance; all requests must be made upfront
• No accommodations for 10 or 12-hour shifts

This position is ideal for experienced Behavioral Health RNs with prior travel experience seeking a short-term assignment in a specialized detox and psychiatric care setting.
