Job Description

The Respiratory Care Practitioner is a vital member of the healthcare team, responsible for providing age-appropriate care to a diverse patient population. The role requires knowledge of hospital policies, procedures, and AARC standards of practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care to patients of all age groups.
• Demonstrate professionalism and skill in interactions with peers and patients.
• Participate in continuing education programs.

Requirements

• Experience:

  • 2 years of acute care hospital experience required; critical access hospital experience preferred.
  • New graduates are welcome and training is available.
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) required.
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required or eligible for certification.
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification must be obtained within six months of hire.
• Education: Graduate from an approved/accredited program of Respiratory Care.
• Licensure: Current New Hampshire License/Registration required.
• Skills: Knowledge of evidence-based practices and techniques for respiratory care.
