Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN)

Overview

Temp role in Des Moines, Iowa
Days shift, 12 hours per day
13-week contract
42-bed unit
Patient ratio: 1:2 or 1:3
May float to general pediatrics and PICU
1st time travelers welcomed

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Iowa
NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care (1.5 years of experience)
NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
NRP
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Driver's License
Experience & comfort utilizing: vasopressors, sedation & glucose

Preferred

Professional reference/reference check from within the last 24 months

Unit Details

Vasopressors, sedation, and glucose are administered on the unit
Types of patients include premature, respiratory distress/failure, and hypoglycemia
