Registered Nurse – ICU

Location: Woodruff, Wisconsin

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Unit: 10-bed ICU and IMC (Intermediate Care), plus 34-bed Medical-Surgical (MS) unit
• Patient Ratios:

  • ICU: 1:2
  • IMC: 1:3 to 1:4
  • MS: 1:5 to 1:6
• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (12-hour shifts)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week (except during holidays when unit is closed)
• Float Requirements: May float to other units including MS and facilities in Rhinelander, Eagle River, and Tomahawk; floating can be prescheduled
• On Call/Call Back: Possible low census call; minimum 2-hour call back
• Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Charting System: EPIC preferred
• Scrub Colors: Any color allowed

Required Qualifications

• Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) License
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS preferred
• Minimum 2 years ICU experience
• Prior travel experience preferred but not required

Additional Information

• Radius Rule: Must live outside a 50-mile radius from the facility (as of 6/26)
• Flu Season Policy: Travelers who decline flu and COVID vaccinations must wear a mask at all times; compliance is mandatory with no exceptions
• Orientation Week: GSA hours not guaranteed during orientation week
• Contract includes eligibility for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours
