Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - ICU (Travel)

Job Details

• Unit: 10-bed ICU and IMC (Intermediate Care Unit); also float to MS (Medical-Surgical) units with 34 beds
• Shift Requirements: Variable day and night shifts
• Float Requirements:

  • Float to other units as needed, including MS unit
  • Facility float to Rhinelander, Eagle River, and Tomahawk (floating may be prescheduled)
• On Call/Call Back: May be low censused and placed on call; call back minimum 2 hours
• Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week (except during holidays when unit is closed)
• Low Census Hours: Eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours
• Charting System: EPIC preferred
• Scrub Colors: Any color allowed
• Radius Rule: Must live outside a 50-mile radius from the facility

Patient Ratios

• ICU: 1:2
• IMC: 1:3 to 1:4
• MS: 1:5 to 1:6

Required Qualifications

• Wisconsin RN License
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in ICU
• Prior travel experience preferred but not required

Additional Information

• During flu season, travelers who decline flu and COVID vaccinations must wear a mask at all times per facility policy (mandatory compliance).
• GSA hours are not guaranteed during orientation week.

This position is ideal for ICU RNs with at least 2 years of experience seeking a travel assignment with variable shifts and floating opportunities in a multi-unit hospital setting.
