Assignment Details

• Travel position
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Start date: ASAP
• Guaranteed hours: 36 per week
• Shift: 12-hour day/night variable shifts
• Weekend/holiday schedule: Every other weekend and every other holiday
• Float expectations: May float to all inpatient units as needed, typically to higher-acuity units
• On-call: Not applicable

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Wisconsin
• Intermediate Care experience within the last year
• 2 years of Intermediate Care experience
• One completed travel assignment
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Ventilator/Tracheostomy experience
• Tele experience
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience
• Trauma experience

Preferred Qualifications

• ICU experience
• Trauma Level II experience

Unit Overview

• Intermediate care unit with 36 beds
• Heavy telemetry
• Common patient types include stable weaning vents/trachs, sepsis, trauma, alcohol detox, GI bleed, colostomy/ileostomy, chest tubes, TBI, orthopedic trauma, spinal cord injury, and stroke
• Typical patient ratio: 4:1

Additional Notes

• EPIC charting experience is preferred
• Scrubs: any color
• Candidate profile: able to work independently, complete tasks on time, and adapt well in a fast-paced environment
