Job info

Perform magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) exams for diagnosis and treatment as ordered by physicians or providers.
Operate MRI systems and related equipment efficiently and accurately.
Perform IV punctures and administer contrast as ordered.
Ensure technical accuracy and timely completion of exams.
Identify anatomical orientation on all images.
Communicate pertinent data to care team members following examinations.
Consult with professional staff regarding interpretation of results.
Schedule patients for MRI exams.
Assist with quality assurance/quality improvement (QA/QI) of PACS system.
Ensure proper identification and documentation on all images and related computer functions.
Stay updated on new developments in MRI technology and procedures.
Communicate effectively with clinicians, physicians, radiologists, technologists, and patients.
Provide patient-centered care, adjusting approaches based on patient developmental level.
Partner with patients and caregivers in care and decision-making.
Maintain a safe and secure environment.
Individualize care plans and modify clinical interventions based on patient needs.
Provide patient education tailored to assessed learning needs.

Minimum of 0.5 to 1.5 years (6 months) experience as an MRI Technologist.
Minimum of 2 to 3 years Siemens MRI system experience required.
Knowledge of basic nursing practices related to MRI, including emergency procedures, sterile practices, infection control techniques, and CPR.
Experience working in academic or clinical settings.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and critical thinking skills.
Strong customer service skills.
Adaptability and ability to collaborate effectively.

AAS degree or equivalent hospital-based training program with certificate of completion.
