Job Description

Seeking a Registered Nurse for an acute hospital setting to provide autonomous care alongside hospital staff. The role focuses on acute hemodialysis for in-patients with chronic kidney disease, acute kidney injury (AKI), and transplant patients. Dialysis experience is not required but preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver 1:1 or 2:1 acute hemodialysis patient care.
Educate patients and families on treatment and care.
Provide specialized care for patients with multiple co-morbidities and acute conditions.
Administer nephrology care across various renal therapies including peritoneal dialysis, continuous renal replacement, and apheresis.
Work autonomously in a hospital setting, assessing and troubleshooting critical patient needs daily.
Adapt to variable daily schedules with long days and on-call requirements.
Potential to float to various clinics during and after training.
Must be flexible to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois.
Minimum 1 year of acute care experience within the last year.
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Acute dialysis experience.
