Neurodiagnostic Tech II

Overview

• Travel allied role in Milwaukee, Wisconsin
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 2nd shift, 10 hours per day, 40 hours per week

Role Summary

• Under limited supervision, prepares patients for routine EEG, EMG, long-term and intraoperative monitoring, evoked potentials, nerve conduction velocities, autonomic testing, Neuro Interventional radiology WADA, and PET.
• Work includes diagnostic and investigative studies in the laboratory, at the bedside, and in critical care units for patients of all ages.
• May be required to float to other sites.
• Additional duties include charge capture, scheduling patients, assisting front desk with scheduling and check-in, documenting and entering charges, and reviewing/clipping EMU and continuous EEG files.

Required Qualifications

• EEG Technologist experience within the last year.
• 1 year of experience as an EEG Technologist.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of proven experience as a Neurodiagnostic Technician.
• Graduate of an accredited Neurodiagnostic Technology program accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalography E Evoked Potentials (ABRET).
• Registered by ABRET in at least one of the following: Registered Electroencephalography Technologist (EEG), Registered Nerve Conduction Velocity Testing (EMG/NCV), Certified Autonomic Professional (CAP), Certified Long Term Monitoring Technologist (CLTM), or Registered Evoked Potential Technologist.
