Job Opportunity: Special Procedures/IR Tech

Location: Louisville, Kentucky
Employment Type: Clinical-Allied
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Demonstrate thorough knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and image quality.
Communicate effectively with patients to explain exams and alleviate anxiety.
Understand patient positioning, imaging techniques, radiation safety, imaging equipment, infection control, and quality control.
Supervise students providing patient care and services as part of their training.

Job Responsibilities

Produce high-quality diagnostic images meeting or exceeding department guidelines.
Maintain professional competence through continuing education.
Provide excellent customer service in all interactions.
Communicate clearly and maintain confidentiality.
Provide age-appropriate care including communication, safety, patient teaching, and understanding physical/functional growth and development.
Use imaging equipment, PACS, and EPIC systems to process and retain images and exam information.
Apply radiation safety techniques to minimize exposure to patients and staff.

Required Qualifications

Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Kentucky
Minimum 1 year of Interventional Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
ARRT (R) certification
Current BLS certification

No prior travel experience requirement specified.
