Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (ICU)

Location: Seymour, Indiana
Employment Type: Traveler - Backfill
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide quality nursing care in an efficient and safe manner in the ICU.
• Perform patient assessments and analyze information.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of care.
• Collaborate and coordinate nursing care and services.
• Utilize equipment such as Liberty Peritoneal Dialysis Cycler, Meditech, Omnicell, Philips monitor, Alaris IV pumps, and NICOM (Non-Invasive Cardiac Output Monitor).
• Float to other units as needed, including MedSurg, only within competency.
• Work 12-hour shifts, including day and night shifts, with weekend coverage.
• Nurse to patient ratio approximately 1:1 or 1:2.
• Professional nurse dress code required.

Required Qualifications

• Active Indiana RN license or compact RN license.
• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience.
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
• Able and willing to float to MedSurg as needed.
• Previous travel nursing experience is required.

Additional Information

• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Candidate should not require time off during the assignment unless specified in advance.
