Location: Juneau, Alaska
Employment Type: Contract Clinician
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Perform nursing services under the general supervision of a licensed Registered Nurse (RN).
Duties include observing, reporting, and documenting patient condition; performing supportive, technical, and therapeutic nursing tasks.
Prepare, administer, and record oral, subcutaneous, and intramuscular medications.
Utilize Matrix Care computerized charting system.
Work in a Long-Term Care (LTC) unit with 61 beds (54 currently filled).
Nurse-to-patient ratio: approximately 1:15 to 1:21 during the day, 1:25 at night.
Employee will not work alone; no on-call required.
Shifts are variable; weekends required on a rotating basis.
Dress code: Scrubs.
Orientation includes organizational onboarding and LTC-specific training.

Graduate of an accredited school of practical/vocational nursing.
Valid LPN license issued by the State of Alaska (must be maintained throughout employment).
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
BRH-approved behavioral emergency response and de-escalation training within three months of hire.
Minimum 1 year of experience administering medications, preferably in an inpatient setting.
