Job Summary

The position involves providing nursing care to residents according to individualized care plans and physician orders. Responsibilities include:

• Assisting in formulating and updating care plans.
• Observing and documenting resident care and conditions.
• Using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) accurately.
• Notifying physicians and processing orders.
• Responding promptly to resident call lights.
• Educating residents and families about care and condition changes.
• Following proper procedures for handling linens and personal protective equipment.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Experience: Prior work experience in a similar position is beneficial.
• Licensure: Active nursing license for the state of Nebraska is required.
• Certifications: BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of therapeutic effects and side effects of medications.
• Effective communication skills in English, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to meet physical demands, including lifting up to 35 lbs.
