Job Opportunity: Pharmacist - Emergency Department (ED)

Location: Bemidji, Minnesota
Contract Length: 26 weeks (approximately 6 months)

Job Summary

Provide clinical pharmacy support for patients in the Emergency Department. Collaborate with the healthcare team in the ED to participate in patient care, including code response, order verification, and medication reconciliation.

Required Certifications

• Pharmacist licensure
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

Experience Requirements

• Emergency department, critical care, and/or inpatient pharmacy experience preferred
• No explicit minimum years of experience stated; assume at least some prior experience in these areas is necessary

Schedule

• Evening shift, 10 hours per shift
• Week on, week off schedule
• No on-call required

Work Environment & Equipment

• Electronic Health Record: EPIC
• Automated Dispensing Cabinet: Omnicell
• IV Pumps: Alaris
• ED has 15 rooms within a 118-bed hospital

Additional Information

• No floating to other units or departments
• Hospital provides scrubs
• Training provided with another ED pharmacist to learn workflows and systems (EPIC, Omnicell)
• Goal of training is to ensure high-quality patient care
