Travel Nurse Opportunity: Med Surg (5SE) - Fargo, North Dakota
Specialty
- Medical Surgical (Med Surg)
- Surgical oncology experience preferred but not required
Required Experience
- Minimum 1 year recent Medical Surgical experience
- Surgical oncology experience preferred
Licensure & Certifications
- Active North Dakota or Compact RN License (must specify state)
- BLS certification (AHA required)
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Shift & Schedule
- 12-hour shifts
- Every Other Weekend (EOW) and Every Other Holiday (EOH)
Unit Details
- Home unit: 5SE (Med Surg)
- Floating: May float to any med/surg unit on any campus
- Bed size: 47 beds
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 5:1 (day shift), 6:1 (night shift)
Work Environment & Equipment
- Larger hospital setting (minimum 200 beds)
- Level 2 or higher trauma center
- EMR: Epic
- Equipment: AccuDose, Bladder Scanner, Phillips monitors, Telemetry
Orientation & Training
- 1 day lead center training
- 2 twelve-hour shifts on unit with a preceptor (including 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend and holiday)
Additional Requirements & Notes
- Must badge in and out at the facility
- Scrubs color: Navy Blue
- Cannot accept travelers living within 60 miles of the facility
- Prior employment with the facility requires a minimum 6-month gap before reapplying
- Must provide good interview times for scheduling
