OB/L&D - RN Travel Job Opportunity

Location: Bemidji, Minnesota
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Required Experience & Certifications

• Minimum 2 years OB/L&D experience (including Postpartum and Pediatrics)
• Active Minnesota RN license
• Active BLS (AHA) certification required
• Active ACLS (AHA) certification required
• Active NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• PALS certification preferred
• EPIC EMR experience required; if no EPIC experience, must specify other EMR systems used

Job Responsibilities

• Provide care for postpartum, stable antepartum, pediatric patients, newborns, GYN, and Med-Surg overflow
• May serve as 2nd RN in Special Care Nursery (SCN)
• Willingness to float to other units such as Telemetry and Med-Surg as needed (travelers are first to float per union contract)

Work Environment & Support

• Patient census varies: average 5 mom/baby couplets, 2 pediatrics, 1 GYN, 2 labor, 4 SCN patients
• Nurse-to-patient ratios:

  • 1:3 mom/baby couplets
  • 1:5 GYN/Med-Surg patients
  • 1:3-4 pediatrics
• Support staff includes ward clerk (7am-7pm), CNA (Tues-Thurs), charge nurse/circulator, resource nurse, and LPN scrub nurse without assignments

• Philips Vitals Machines
• Bladder Scanner
• Medula Breast Pumps
• Responder 5 Call Light System
• Medfusion Pumps

Schedule & Shift Details

• 12-hour day/night rotating shifts
• Every 3rd weekend and rotating holidays required
• Variable shifts including weekends
• Must assist in filling schedule vacancies due to onboarding, vacancies, or staff on FMLA

Additional Requirements

• Must badge in and out at the facility
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• Must be willing and able to float to other units (Tele, Med-Surg)
• If previously worked for this health system, must have a minimum 6-month gap before reapplying
