Ultrasound Technologist Opportunity - Carroll, Iowa

Position Details

• Specialty: Ultrasound (General, Breast, or Vascular)
• Location: Carroll, Iowa
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM
• Weekend/Holiday Requirements: None
• Call/Standby: None

Requirements

• Certifications:

  • ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography)
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) from AHA
• Experience: Minimum 1 year in specialty; no first-time travelers
• Skills: Must be proficient in ultrasound scanning

Work Environment

• Department Size: 2 ultrasound scanners/rooms
• Floating: Yes, coverage in the clinic 2-3 days per week
• Average Scans per Day: 6-8
• EMR/PACS Systems: Meditech and Merge PACS
• Equipment: Canon ultrasound machines
• Supervision: Reports to Director; no lead tech or radiology supervisor on site
• Radiologist Coverage: Radiologist onsite 2 weeks on, 1 week off
• IV Starts: Not required
• Orientation: 1:1 training with a tech for 1-2 weeks
• Dress Code: No set scrub color; scrubs not provided

Additional Notes

• Must comply with a 50-mile radius rule for travel.
