CT Technologist (Computed Tomography) – Travel Assignment in Arizona

Job Description

• Seeking an experienced CT Technologist for a travel assignment at an acute care hospital.
• Candidate must not have worked in Arizona as a permanent staff employee in the past 12 months, nor hold a current position at an acute care hospital or hospital system in Arizona (including PRN roles).
• Likely to float to a sister facility as needed.
• Typical imaging includes Stroke, Trauma, Emergency Room, and Inpatient studies.
• Average of approximately 300 scans/studies per day.
• Use of Cerner EMR and Siemens CT equipment.
• Radiologist available in-house during the day; tele-radiology used otherwise.
• No IV starts required.
• Call required every 4th Friday and every 5th Saturday with a 1-hour response time.
• Holiday work required.
• Scrubs color: Teal (provided).
• Department-specific CT orientation provided in person.

Schedule

• Two shifts:

  • Monday through Wednesday, 12:00 PM to 12:30 AM (12.5 hours)
  • Thursday through Sunday, 7:30 PM to 7:00 AM (11.5 hours)
• Weekend requirement: Thursday through Sunday night shift.
• Call every 5th Tuesday and Wednesday (0700–1930).

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent CT Technologist experience (within the past 6 months).
• Active ARRT certification in CT and MRTBE CT certification required.
• Active BLS certification required.
• Radiation badge required.
• COVID-19 vaccination required (or approved religious/medical exemption).
• Siemens CT and Level One trauma experience strongly preferred.

Additional Information

• Department has 2 CT scanners staffed by 2 technologists.
• No Registered Radiology Assistants (RRA) used.
• No self-scheduling; shifts and call schedules are fixed.
