Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) - Home Health

Location

  • Lexington, Kentucky

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Work Schedule

  • Day shifts, typically 5 days per week
  • 8 hours per day (40 hours per week)
  • Rotating weekend shifts (8 AM - 5 PM)
  • Holiday rotation required

Patient Load & Duties

  • Approximately 6.5 patients treated per day
  • Responsibilities include start of care (SOC), recertifications (ROC), evaluations, and daily visits
  • Patient diagnoses commonly include CHF, orthopedic conditions, and pneumonia
  • Work setting: Home Health
  • No acute inpatient, acute rehab, skilled nursing, or outpatient involvement

Orientation & Support

  • 2 weeks of orientation with a preceptor/work coach
  • Clinical manager or educator available 24/7 for emergencies and 8 AM - 5 PM for routine support
  • Phone and tablet provided for work

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Valid Physical Therapy Assistant license in Kentucky
  • Minimum of 1 year of Physical Therapy Assistant experience within the last year
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
