Experience
- No prior travel experience required
Work Setting
- Inpatient wound care
- Float coverage to St Clare, St Elizabeth, St Frances, St Anthony, and St Anne as needed
Patient Care / Unit Details
- Treats about 5 to 15 patients per day, depending on consult volume
- Typical team coverage includes 3 to 4 other RNs in the role
- Common cases include ostomies, draining wounds or fistulas, pressure injuries, vascular and arterial ulcers, diabetic ulcers, incontinence-related skin conditions, surgical and trauma-related wounds, skin/tissue integrity issues, altered continence, and wound vacs
Key Responsibilities
- Manages and coordinates wound care consults and recommendations
- Documents care and billing
- Coordinates discharge supplies
- Provides assessment, prevention, and education
- Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team
Orientation
- Orientation includes all hospitals, with a preceptor and documentation education
Additional Notes
- No weekend, holiday, or call requirements
- No scrub color preference
