Required Qualifications

• BLS (AHA)
• 1-2 years acute care nursing experience
• RN license for the applicable job role

Schedule

• Shift times: 0700-1930, 1100-2330, 2300-0700
• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday requirement: Every other holiday

Unit Details

• Patient ratios: Days 1:4-5; nights 1:5-6
• Common patient types: Ortho Trauma, Vascular, Urology, Neuro-spine, OBGYN Oncology, Acute Medical
• Telemetry: Telemetry techs monitor the unit; RNs do not need to read strips
• Drips: Heparin; occasionally nitro, Bivalirudin, Cardizem, insulin
• Respiratory support: CPAP, BIPAP, High Flow Oxygen Therapy
• Ventilators: No vents
• Charge nurse: Takes an assignment on all shifts
• Nursing assistants: Present
• Floating: Float required to other adult medical/surgical nursing units

Additional Details

• Call/standby: No
• Scheduling: No self-scheduling; block scheduling to the best of their ability depending on staffing
• Orientation: 1 day computer training and 1-2 precepted floor orientation
• Dress code: Any color, clean and professional
• Local rate note: Candidates living within 80 miles of the facility are considered local
• Prior employment note: Must note in submission if clinician has ever worked for Marshfield; if previously worked there, end date must be 6 months prior to submission
