Respiratory Therapist

Overview

Travel assignment in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
Start ASAP.
13-week contract.
3x12 hour days, 36 hours per week.

Required Qualifications

1 year of experience.
ACLS.
BLS.
RRT verification.

Preferred Qualifications

NRP.
PALS.

Clinical Setting

Covers adults, pediatrics, and newborns.
Areas covered include inpatient, outpatient, ER, floors, peds, L&D, nursery, ICU, sleep lab, OR, and PACU.
Typical patient mix includes STEMI, CVA, Covid, EKOS, arrest, and IABP.
Performs ABGs and occasionally EKGs.
Assists with intubation.

Schedule and Logistics

Every other weekend.
Holidays rotate with permanent staff.
Typically no call.
Call response time: 30 minutes.
No floating to sister campus.
Department orientation: 2 days.
Scrub color: wine burgundy.
Equipment includes Drager, A40, LTV, Avea, V-60, and Vapotherms.
