Overview

• Location: Seaford, Delaware
• Shift: Days
• Hours: 10 hours per day, 40 hours per week
• The role supports patients undergoing diagnostic and/or interventional EP/cardiology procedures in the EP/Cardiac Cath Lab.

Required Qualifications

• Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year.
• Cath Lab Technologist with 2 years of experience.
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association.
• ARRT.
• BLS issued by American Heart Association.

Preferred Qualifications

• One year of experience in cardiovascular radiology with experience in non-invasive and invasive procedures.

Work Expectations

• Must be able to scrub on diagnostic and interventional cases with physicians.
• Must be able to use a computerized documentation system.
• Must be able to handle invasive procedures.
• Must be able to work under time pressure and an ever-changing schedule.
• May temporarily supervise Cath lab traffic in the absence of the Cath lab manager/lead.
• Expected to work overtime and/or additional weekends during staffing shortages, emergencies, and unexpected increases in workload.
• Expected to take on-call coverage when needed.
• Expected to respond in the event of a disaster.
• Rotating weekend call is part of the schedule.
• The Cath Lab is staffed seven days a week, 24 hours per day.
• Coverage includes a scheduled staff and on-call team of three technicians.
• The role includes close patient contact during long procedures and frequent contact with physicians, nursing personnel, patient families, and the general public.

Additional Notes

• Local candidates are not accepted; there is a 100-mile radius restriction.
• Orientation is 8 hours and non-billable.
• Guaranteed hours do not apply during orientation.
• The client may call off or cancel up to 12 hours per 13-week assignment.
• Inventory, distribution, and delivery of medications may be required for all patient care area positions.
