Job Opportunity: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - Inpatient Rehabilitation

Work Schedule

• Day shift, 5 days per week, 8 hours per day (8:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
• One weekend coverage required per month

Job Description

• Hybrid role splitting time between inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation settings
• Focus on inpatient rehab with outpatient therapy needs including physical therapy, activities of daily living (ADLs), and stroke rehabilitation

Required Qualifications

• Valid Speech Language Pathologist license in Texas
• Minimum 1 year of Speech Language Pathologist experience within the last year
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

Special Requirements

• Must provide ample notice (more than 24 hours) for any call-outs
• Cannot take every holiday off
• Attire: Any solid color scrubs with close-toed shoes
• Free parking available

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
• Emergency contact form prior to start
• Background checks within 1 year, including SS trace, county searches (7 years), nationwide, and sex offender registry; updated annually
• Annual EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Fit mask required prior to start (any mask acceptable)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (with specific protocols for past positives)
• Immunization or titer proof for Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
• 9-panel drug screen within 1 year of start
• Seasonal flu vaccination or declination during flu season (Oct 1 – Mar 31)
• COVID-19 vaccination or declination required
• Employment verification of most recent employer
• Two professional references required for travel, allied, or per diem acute care roles (within 3 years)
• Annual skills checklist and competency exams as applicable

• Mileage reimbursement is not provided
• Return-to-Office (RTO) restrictions apply and are only approved at time of submission, no approvals after offer
• This position requires flexibility with weekend coverage and holiday scheduling
