Registered Nurse (Med/Surg/Telemetry) - Travel/Contract

Location: Dubois, Pennsylvania
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each)
Hours per Week: 36 hours

Job Description

Provide nursing care in Medical/Surgical and Telemetry units.
Must have 1-2 years of experience in Med/Surg nursing.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Pennsylvania.
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
Minimum 1 year of Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.

Background and Compliance Requirements

7-year criminal background check including SS trace, county searches for last 7 years, nationwide sex offender check, PA statewide patch search.
EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required.
Education verification (transcripts, diplomas, or third-party verifications).
Pennsylvania Child Abuse (Childline) search within 1 year of start.
Pennsylvania FBI fingerprinting within 12 months of start (must be completed in PA).
Physical exam within 1 year of start.
Negative TB test (PPD, Q Gold, or TSpot) within 6 months or chest X-ray within 5 years.
Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start.
Alcohol breathalyzer test within 30 days of start (not required for this location).
Photo for badge (passport style, no filters).

Immunization and Health Requirements

Tdap vaccination within the past 10 years or facility-specific declination form.
COVID-19 vaccine or facility-specific declination.
Seasonal flu vaccine or facility-specific declination (mask required if declined during flu season Nov-April).
Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 MMR vaccines; declination allowed with documentation.
Hepatitis B: Positive titer or 3 vaccine series; declination allowed with documentation.
Varicella: Positive titer, 2 vaccines, or documented history of chickenpox; declination allowed with documentation.

Facility-Specific Requirements

Completion of orientation packet and acknowledgements prior to start.
Completion of medical surveillance checklist prior to start.
Completion of bloodborne pathogen quiz prior to start.
Completion of vaccine declination forms if applicable.
Annual skills checklist required.
Comprehensive Crisis Management certification required for Emergency Department, Behavioral Health, and Acute Care units (online training accepted).

Additional Notes

Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
All certifications and background checks must be current and verifiable prior to start.
Candidates must complete fingerprinting and background checks as per Pennsylvania state requirements.
No onsite classes available for MAB/CPI; online certification accepted.

This position is ideal for experienced Med/Surg RNs comfortable with night shifts and Telemetry care, who meet Pennsylvania licensure and compliance requirements.
