Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical

Location: Cartersville, Georgia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 12 weeks


Unit Details

  • Patient diagnoses include General Medical-Surgical, Peritoneal Dialysis, and Radial Bands recovery (no PCI).
  • Floating within facility/scope of practice as needed.
  • Weekend schedule: Every other weekend.
  • No call required.

Shift Details

  • Day shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM).
  • Total hours per week: 36.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia.
  • Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience.
  • Medical-Surgical nursing experience within the last year.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Compliance & Orientation

  • Full compliance with all documentation and credentialing required to start on time.
  • Orientation hours vary by contract length (e.g., 8 hours for 8-week assignment).
  • Rolling Time Off (RTO) maximum of 7 days.
  • If major holidays fall during assignment, traveler is expected to work:
    • 1 holiday: work it.
    • 2 holidays: work both.
    • 3 holidays: work two of the three.
  • Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year’s Eve/Day.

  • Locals accepted at the same rate.
  • Candidate must review and sign facility-specific Code of Conduct and Dress/Professional Appearance policies prior to start.
  • Floating assignments may be required within the facility.
  • Aya offers contingent on clinical pass within RTO guidelines and facility requirements.
