Shift: 3 shifts, 12 hours each (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
Weekend & Holiday Requirement: Yes, weekends and holidays as scheduled
Floating: Required within specialty and other units within scope
On-call: Not required
Patient Age Range: Neonates to Geriatrics
Job Description
Perform diagnostic imaging as a Radiographer in diagnostic imaging. Scrub color for OR assignments is blue or pink.
Required Licenses and Certifications
- ARRT (Radiologic Technologist)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Valid Radiology Technologist license in Maryland
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technologist, including experience within the last year
- Experience as an X-Ray Technician
Work Environment and Uniform
- Scrub colors: Navy blue generally; pink for trauma or OR; pediatric department allows navy blue scrub pants with child-friendly tops
- Business casual allowed in some departments (no jeans, no open-toe shoes, no sleeveless tops, no shorts)
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
Background Checks
- 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start, updated annually
- SSN Trace, County, Nationwide, Sex Offender, OFAC checks
- Education verification
- Maryland State Exclusions List check within 30 days of start
Health and Immunization
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Fit mask test within 1 year of start (not required for some lab roles)
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (required for units working with children)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray per facility protocol, updated annually
- Immunizations or titers required for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (positive titer or declination accepted; series not accepted)
- Varicella
- Negative drug screen (9 or 10 panel depending on facility) within 30 days prior to start
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required for 2025-26 season
- COVID vaccine not required for this location but documentation collected for tracking
Certifications (as applicable)
- ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, EFM, CHEMO, STABLE, NIH Stroke Certification, CPI (refer to unit/job description for applicability)
Competency Exams
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam (score 80%+)
- Color blind testing (one-time)
- Age-specific competency exam (score 80%+)
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam for applicable specialties (score 80%+)

- Facility-specific confidentiality agreement and dress code acknowledgment
- Badge photo (passport style, solid white/beige background)

Additional Notes
- Candidates must be prepared to float within their specialty and to other units as needed.
- Weekend and holiday shifts are mandatory as scheduled.
- On-call duties are not required for this position.

This position is ideal for Radiologic Technologists seeking a travel contract opportunity with a defined 13-week assignment in Maryland, working primarily night shifts with weekend and holiday coverage.
