Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse – MS/Tele Unit

Location: Pomona, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each; 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week (client may cancel up to 3 shifts during assignment)

Job Details

• Start Date: ASAP
• Weekend shifts required
• No on-call duties
• Floating required within scope to other ICU/Telemetry and Med Surg/Telemetry units
• Block schedule requests cannot be accommodated
• Locals accepted
• Pending licenses are not accepted
• Up to 5 days of Return to Office (RTO) allowed, with 1 holiday approved off
• Three missed shifts may result in assignment cancellation

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California
• Minimum 1 year of telemetry experience, with telemetry experience within the last year
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 2 years as a Registered Nurse

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Valid, current RN license with primary source verification within 30 days of start
• Background check covering last 7 years, including:

  • Social Security address trace (last 15 years)
  • National criminal search
  • Sex offender search
  • Education verification
  • International searches if applicable
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days prior to start
• Employment application with complete 15+ years work history including locations and gaps
• Two professional references (one must be from most recent experience)
• Physical exam within 12 months clearing employee to work without restrictions
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (annual renewal required for travel)
• Immunization and health requirements:

  • Tdap vaccine or declination within last 10 years (Td not accepted)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray per facility protocol
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella immunity or vaccination/declination
  • Hepatitis B vaccination series, immune titer, or declination
  • Varicella immunity or vaccination/declination (history of disease not accepted)
  • Hepatitis C titer (no booster or declination required for negative results)
• Annual Medical and Employee Information Release Form
• Fit mask test with 3M Aura 1870+ N95 mask (universal size) or approved onsite PAPR training
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccination or facility-specific declination forms (masking required if declining)
• Annual competency exams including medication/pharmacology test (minimum 80% score)
• Completion of facility-specific orientation packet, training modules, and policy acknowledgments prior to start
• Badge photo on plain blue background (passport-style) required within 72 hours of signing

Additional Requirements

• Must review and sign facility-specific policies including:

  • Float policy (applicable to ICU/Telemetry/Stepdown specialties)
  • Timekeeping acknowledgment
  • Standard of care acknowledgment (for certain units)
  • Privacy and security information
  • COVID-19 exposure questionnaire
  • Drug diversion module (required for all RNs prior to start)
• Modules assigned via facility LMS platform must be completed by due date with passing scores
• Dress code strictly enforced: solid colored scrubs only; black scrubs only at certain offsite urgent care locations

• Facility does not require hard copies of licenses or certifications if primary source verification is on file
• Radiation badges are not provided for new candidates; must be supplied by facility if needed
• Candidates must submit all required documents timely to avoid delays or cancellation
• Candidates must be prepared to float within the scope of practice to other related units as needed

This position is ideal for a Registered Nurse with at least 2 years of experience, who is flexible with night shifts, weekend work, and floating within ICU and telemetry units. First-time travel nurses are welcome to apply.
