Required Qualifications

• Valid state license for X-Ray Technologist (Radiology discipline) with primary source verification required within 30 days of start.
• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID) required and must be carried while on assignment.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA Instructor or Provider; RQI acceptable) required for all travelers except Histology Techs. Certification must be current at start.
• Unit-specific competency exam required within 12 months of start and updated annually.
• Physical exam within one year of start, confirming ability to safely perform essential job functions.
• Fit mask (3M N95 1860 small/regular or 1870+) fit test within 12 months of start, updated annually.
• Immunization and health requirements:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine every 10 years (medical exemptions reviewed case-by-case).
  • Negative TB test (2-step PPD or Quantiferon Gold/T-Spot) within 6 months of start; chest x-ray if prior positive TB test.
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella): 2 vaccines or positive titer required; boosters required if titers negative or equivocal.
  • Hepatitis B: Titer, series, or declination documented.
  • Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer required; booster if titer negative or equivocal.
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 31 - Mar 31).
• 10-panel drug screen required, updated annually (instant drug screens not accepted).
• Background checks including FCRA-compliant 7-year search, education verification, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, and fingerprinting (FBI and BCI) within 12 months of start and updated annually.
• Fingerprinting must be completed under code 4723.09 (Nursing). Candidates start with results pending if fingerprinting is completed prior to start.
• Employment application must include 3 years prior work history with at least 2 years clinical practice in an acute care setting similar to the assignment.
• Two professional references within one year of start from a manager, supervisor, charge nurse, or director (co-worker references not accepted).
• Annual safety manual acknowledgement and completion of required onboarding/training modules prior to start.
• Photo for badge required prior to start.

Additional Information

• Candidates must complete all required onboarding and training modules prior to clearance to start. Modules must be completed on a computer using Google Chrome; videos must be watched before tests.
• Travelers with a break in employment greater than 6 months at this facility may need to repeat onboarding modules.
• Legal name must be used consistently in all systems.
• Background checks and fingerprinting must be current; breaks in service of 2 or more months require updated background checks.
• Physical exam does not need to be updated annually if currently on assignment without a break.
• Facility requires notification of latex allergies to ensure availability of latex-free gloves.
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
