Job Opportunity: Cardiovascular Technologist
Location: Portland, Oregon
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 4x10 hour day shifts, variable days of the week
Call: 1-2 weeknights per week (5:30 PM - 9:00 PM), 1-2 Saturdays per month, occasional holiday call (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
Job Description
Seeking a Cardiovascular Technologist with x-ray license or RCIS certification to work in the Cath Lab. The role requires flexibility to float within the site and across the system as requested. Refusal to float may result in contract cancellation. Travelers must complete any assigned education within one week of assignment.
Required Qualifications
- Licensure:
- Licensed Radiology Technologist (ARRT-R) OR
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)
- Certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Experience:
- Specialty experience in Radiology/Cardiology (minimum years not explicitly stated; assume standard for Cardiovascular Technologist roles)
- Other Requirements:
- Must be willing to float as requested
- Completion of assigned education within one week of assignment
Background and Compliance Requirements
- Criminal background check (7-year search including SSN trace, nationwide, sex offender, county, federal, and international if applicable)
- Copy of diploma or certification as applicable
- Primary source verification of certifications and licenses
- Physical exam within 1 year prior to start
- Immunizations and titers: Tdap (within 10 years or declination), TB test (negative within 1 year), MMR (measles, mumps, rubella), Hepatitis B, Varicella
- Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 12 months prior to start
- Respirator medical clearance annually (unless no patient interaction)
- Professional references: 2 supervisory or higher professional references within 3 years
Additional Notes
- Floating acknowledgment form must be signed prior to start
- Mandatory cancellation terms: must cancel 1.5 hours before shift start; one mandatory cancellation allowed per two-week pay period without penalty
- Candidates may start with pending background checks on a case-by-case basis, subject to approval
