Job Details

• Hours: 48 hours per week
• Shift: Every other weekend and holiday required
• Patient Ratio: 1:2
• Float: May float to Emergency Department for boarders as needed
• Charting System: Epic experience required

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Massachusetts
• Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, including experience within the last year
• ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience with Epic charting system

Additional Requirements

• Must pass medication and telemetry exams (if working in telemetry units) with a minimum score of 80% on the first day of orientation
• Physical exam within 12 months prior to start, including physician statement of fitness to work without restrictions
• Background checks including 7-year criminal background check and various verifications required within 30 days of start
• Drug testing within 30 days of start
• Immunizations and/or declinations required for:

  • COVID-19 (most recent vaccine or declination)
  • Flu seasonal vaccine or declination (during flu season)
  • Hepatitis B
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
  • Varicella
  • TDAP
• TB testing and questionnaire required
• References: 2 references within 3 years of start
• Employment application covering 7 years of employment history with explanations for gaps over 30 days

Summary

This ICU Registered Nurse travel contract requires a Massachusetts RN license, at least 2 years of ICU experience (both Medical and Surgical), and certifications in ACLS and BLS. The position involves 48 hours per week with every other weekend and holiday shifts, a 1:2 patient ratio, and potential float to the Emergency Department. Candidates must have Epic charting experience and meet comprehensive health, background, and competency requirements prior to start.
