Job Opportunity: Home Health Registered Nurse

Location: Marion, Ohio
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Specialty: Home Health Registered Nurse (RN)
• Shift: Monday-Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM with rotating weekends on-call (Saturday/Sunday 8 AM - 5 PM)
• Territory: Up to a 60-mile radius from the office hub
• Average Patients per Day: 5-7 (to be confirmed during interview)
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Types of Cases: Geriatric patients
• On-call Requirement: Yes, every 8th weekend
• Dress Code: Scrubs (any color), no jeans
• Technology Provided: iPad provided; cell phone not allowed
• Mileage: Reimbursed at IRS standard rate
• Locals Accepted: Yes, at travel rate
• Flexibility: Traveler expected to be flexible with territory

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio
• Minimum 1 year of recent Home Health experience within the last year
• BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Experience in a Home Health setting
• Experience with OASIS documentation

Additional Requirements

• Background Checks: Must be completed and updated annually, including fingerprinting, SSN trace, county searches, FACIS Level 1, nationwide sex offender, motor vehicle records, education and work history verification, and state-specific checks as applicable
• Health Documents: Physical exam within last 12 months, negative TB test or chest X-ray, immunizations (Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella), drug screening, flu and COVID vaccination or declination forms
• References: 2 professional references within 2 years of start date
• Employment History: Full 7 years of work history with no gaps, verified within 90 days of start
• Auto Insurance: Proof required due to driving responsibilities

Important Notes

• Prior travel experience is required; first-time travelers will not be considered.
• Must be flexible with travel territory and on-call schedule.
• Timely communication and documentation are critical for this role.
• Mileage reimbursement is provided for travel within the territory.

This position is ideal for experienced Home Health RNs who are comfortable working independently in a community setting and managing geriatric patient caseloads with a structured schedule and on-call responsibilities.
