Job Opportunity: X-Ray Tech

Location: New Orleans, Louisiana
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 7 weeks


Job Description

  • Initial schedule: Weekend nights (Friday – Sunday, 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM) for the first 7 weeks.
  • Tentative schedule change after 7 weeks: 3x12 hour day shifts (Monday – Wednesday, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM).
  • Pediatric (PEDS) experience required.
  • Must be able to float and work weekends.
  • Unit does NOT accept first-time travelers.
  • Provides clinical services according to radiology practice standards.
  • Demonstrates skills and knowledge in the use of all x-ray equipment and performance of all x-ray protocols and procedures.
  • Scrub colors: Any color.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Radiology Technician license in Louisiana
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiology Technician/X-Ray Tech, including experience within the last year
  • One completed travel assignment
  • Experience working with Pediatric patients, including Pediatric (PEDS) experience
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • ARRT or ARRT-R (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Radiography) certification
  • Experience with EPIC electronic health record system
