Job Opportunity: CT Tech

Location: New Orleans, Louisiana
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Schedule

  • Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: 10:00 AM – 8:30 PM
  • Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Total hours: 38 per week

Job Description

  • Provide clinical services according to radiology practice standards to ensure optimal departmental functions.
  • Demonstrate skills and knowledge in the use of all CT equipment and perform all CT protocols and procedures.
  • Expected to float to X-ray as needed.

Required Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Radiology / Cardiology specialty.

Required Certifications & Licenses

  • LSRT or temporary LSRT acceptable (temporary LSRT takes 3-5 days to issue once fee is paid and proof of ARRT certification is received).
  • ARRT certification required.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.

Required Documents & Compliance

  • Government-issued photo ID matching all candidate documentation.
  • Background check within 6 months covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years.
  • Various federal and state background screenings (EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, Sex Offender Search).
  • Drug screening within 30 days of start (specific panels required).
  • Immunizations and health documents including:
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (recent testing required)
    • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccinations or positive titers
    • Hepatitis B series, titer, or declination
    • Varicella vaccinations or positive titer
    • Seasonal flu vaccination/documentation (required Oct 1 – March 31) with exemptions accepted
  • Physical exam within 12 months of start (not required by employer but required by placement agency).
  • Photo for badge.

Additional Requirements

  • Must complete medication/pharmacology competency exam and other competency exams annually with a minimum score of 80%.
  • Compliance with employee appearance policy and other facility-specific policies.

Notes

  • Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
  • Floating to X-ray duties expected.
  • Scrub colors: Any color allowed.

This position is ideal for a CT Technologist with at least 2 years of experience, appropriate certifications, and readiness to work a set schedule with some flexibility to float to X-ray.
