Job Opportunity: Operating Room Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Job Requirements

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana
Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year
At least one completed travel assignment
Minimum 2 years of experience in Robotics surgery
Minimum 2 years of experience in Neurosurgical (Neuro) surgery
Minimum 2 years of experience in Plastic surgery
Minimum 2 years of experience in Orthopedic surgery
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST)
Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Requirements and Compliance

Background check within 6 months covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in the past 7 years, including social security trace, nationwide and county checks, sex offender registry, federal exclusions, and others. Must be updated annually.
Employment verification and eligibility checks required within 30 days of start.
Drug screening within 30 days of start, including a comprehensive panel of substances.
Immunizations and health documentation required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray (recent testing required)
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B series, titer, or declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Seasonal flu vaccination/documentation required during flu season (with accepted exemptions and declinations)
Physical exam documentation recommended within 12 months of start.
Annual competency exams required, including medication/pharmacology, dysrhythmia/EKG, and core competency parts I-III.
Compliance with employee appearance policy and other facility-specific policies.
