Job Opportunity: X-Ray Tech

Location: Springfield, Illinois
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Position Details

  • Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
  • Shift: 3 shifts of 12 hours each, with one shift per pay period on 8-hour schedule
  • On-call: Yes, required as needed
  • Floating: No floating outside scope of practice
  • Block Schedule: Possible, discuss with manager
  • Locals Accepted: Yes, no radius restrictions
  • Pending License: Not accepted; active Illinois state license required
  • Guaranteed Hours: Client may cancel up to 36 hours per 13-week assignment without pay obligation

Required Qualifications

  • Valid X-Ray Technician license in Illinois
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as an X-Ray Tech, including experience within the last year
  • ARRT (Radiologic Technologist) certification required
  • BLS certification required

Additional Requirements

  • Background checks covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
  • Primary source verification of certifications and licenses
  • Competency exam required for clinical candidates
  • Physical exam within one year of start, including labs within 7 days of contract signing
  • Fit mask test required (specific mask types accepted)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within one year
  • Immunizations or proof of immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
  • 9-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required annually
  • References: 2 professional references required
  • Badge photo required before start
  • Parking permit required (no cost)

Notes

  • Scrub color: Any solid color
  • Charting system: Cerner
  • Fingerprinting must be completed in Illinois 3 business days prior to start (for candidates without IL license)
  • RTO (Return to Office) restrictions ideally no more than 5 days
