Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Medical Surgical)
Location: Baton Rouge, Louisiana
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Required Experience
- Minimum 3 years of RN experience
- Prior travel experience required (e.g., previous travel assignments completed)
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana
- Minimum 3 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Completion of at least one travel nursing assignment
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Required Documentation and Compliance
- Copy of valid Driver’s License or State ID
- Criminal background check (updated if no assignment within last 90 days)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, updated annually
- Annual respirator fit testing (Fit Mask)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- TB Questionnaire (in lieu of annual TB test renewal)
- 12 Panel Drug Screen within 90 days prior to start
- References: 2 required
Additional Health and Safety Requirements
- Influenza vaccination exemption forms accepted for medical/religious reasons
- COVID-19 vaccination exemption forms accepted for medical/religious reasons
- Various immunization documentation (MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella) may be required or collected but do not impact start date for subcontractors
Competencies
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam as required by specialty
- Competency Exam as required by specialty
