Job Opportunity: CT Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)

Location: Stockbridge, Georgia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 7 weeks


Job Description

  • Schedule: Monday, Thursday, Friday
  • Patient Population: Neonates to Geriatrics
  • Work Settings: Inpatient and Outpatient
  • Equipment: Siemens and Philips CT Scanners, Epic Medical Records, Fuji PACs
  • Typical Caseload: 12-24 patients per day across 4 rooms
  • Hospital Level: Level 3 Trauma Center with significant Stroke Alerts
  • Responsibilities:
    • Perform CT scans on inpatient, emergency, and outpatient patients following protocols
    • Start IVs and obtain patient consent
    • Provide excellent patient care
    • Collaborate with technologists, nurses, doctors, and transporters
  • Floating: Within facility/scope of practice as needed
  • Call Requirements: 8 days total with at least 2 weeks notice
  • Weekends: Every other weekend
  • Holidays: Expected to work major holidays if they fall during assignment (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year’s Eve/Day)
  • Return to Office (RTO): Maximum 7 days

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a CT Technologist
  • CT Technologist experience within the last year
  • Experience working with Neonate patients
  • Experience working with Geriatric patients
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification

Additional Requirements

  • Background Checks: Must be completed within 30 days prior to start, including education verification and criminal background checks
  • Health Documents:
    • Physical exam within 12 months of start
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months
    • Required immunizations or titers: MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Varicella, Hepatitis B
    • Flu vaccination or documented declination required during flu season
    • Negative 10-panel drug screen within 60 days of start
  • Competency Exams:
    • Color Blind Testing (required for all candidates)
  • Orientation: Number of non-billable orientation hours depends on contract length (e.g., 7 weeks = 7 hours)
  • References: Two clinical references required

Work Environment & Culture

  • Positive and productive team environment
  • Dress code: Gray scrub color
  • Must review and sign code of conduct and professional appearance policies prior to start

This position offers an opportunity to work in a busy Level 3 Trauma hospital with a diverse patient population and advanced imaging technology. Ideal candidates are experienced CT Technologists with strong clinical skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
