Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (NICU) - Travel/Contract
Location: Glen Burnie, Maryland
Contract Length: 8 weeks
Shift: Nights (3x12 hour shifts, 2000-0830), every other weekend and holidays as scheduled
Specialty: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) / Special Care Nursery
Experience Required: Minimum 2 years in specialty
Prior Travel Experience: Not required (first-time travelers accepted)
Job Description
- Provide nursing care in the Special Care Nursery (NICU) during night shifts.
- Floating may be required within the specialty and sister units as needed.
- On-call is not required.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland
- Minimum 2 years of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience, with NICU experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Heart Association
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Additional Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID required.
- Completion of facility-specific learning modules and training prior to start.
- Facility-specific documents such as confidentiality agreement, dress code review, and badge application must be completed.
- Must complete required facility onboarding including Epic training or test-out process.
- Must comply with Maryland State Exclusions List screening within 30 days of start.
Work Environment
- Night shift with 3 twelve-hour shifts per week.
- Every other weekend and holidays required.
- Floating within NICU and related units may be necessary.
