Job Summary

Seeking a Registered Nurse with telemetry experience for a travel contract position. This role requires floating to different units and working every other weekend. First-time travelers are welcome to apply.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Pennsylvania
• Telemetry experience with a minimum of 2 years, including experience within the last year
• ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certification
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Prior Travel Experience

• Not required (first timers OK)

Background and Compliance Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID required
• 7-year criminal background check within 1 year of start
• EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG checks required
• PA Child Abuse Search (Childline) within 1 year of start
• PA FBI Fingerprinting within 12 months of start (must be completed in PA)
• Education verification required
• 2 professional references within 3 years of hire
• Skills checklist required annually

Health and Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Negative TB test (PPD, Q Gold, or TSpot) within 6 months of start or chest X-ray within 5 years
• Vaccinations or positive titers required for:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• Tdap vaccination within the past 10 years (declinations accepted with form)
• Flu vaccine or facility-specific declination required during flu season (Nov-April); mask required if declined through 3/31
• COVID vaccine or facility-specific declination required
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Alcohol breathalyzer test within 30 days of start (not required at this location)

Competency and Training Requirements

• Medication test/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
• Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) or Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification required annually for Emergency Department, Behavioral Health, and Acute Care units (online training accepted)
• Comprehensive Crisis Management certification required annually for applicable units (online training accepted)

Schedule

• Every other weekend required
