Location: Seaside, Oregon

Job Description
- Position floats between units.
- On-call required: Typically 2 days a week plus some weekends on rotation.
- Weekend work required as part of call shift rotation (Friday 0630 to Monday 0630).
- No block schedules required.
- Patient ratios vary based on blended pre-anesthesia/PACU environment; staffing determined by patient acuity and clinical judgment in alignment with ASPAN standards and state regulations.
- Call is shared equally among RNs.
- 48-hour shifts are not approved.

Experience Requirements

Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Background Check: Must be completed within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years. Includes SSN trace, Death Master Index, Nationwide and County checks, Sex Offender Registry, FACIS Level 3, Education Verification, MVR (if applicable), and Oregon Abuse/Neglect search if required.
- Education Verification: Required for all candidates; international education requires diploma/transcript or CES report.
- Employment Application: Must include at least last 5 years of employment with month/year format; gaps or overlaps must be explained.
- References: Minimum 2 supervisor references covering 1 year of employment within last 3 years in comparable specialty/setting.
- Physical Exam: Within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO, indicating fitness to work.
- Drug Testing: 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests).
- Immunizations & Health Documents:
- TDAP (within 10 years) or declination accepted.
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually.
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer or declination.

Scheduling & Work Environment

- Call shift timing: Weekday call starts between 1530-1800 and ends at 0600; weekend call from Friday 0630 to Monday 0630.
Training & Competency Requirements

- Specialty-specific modules for PACU and Perioperative nursing.
- Facility-specific orientation and Epic training modules.
- Competency exams as applicable (medication, pharmacology, fetal heart rate monitoring, etc.).
- Color Blind Testing if required by unit.
