Job Description

• Work schedule: 3 shifts of 12 hours, alternating day and night shifts
• Start date: ASAP, any Monday
• Responsibilities include working in ER, floors, and ICU
• Pulmonary Rehab and Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT) skills are a bonus
• Must have a wide variety of skill sets due to diverse patient population

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Minnesota
• Minimum 1 year of Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment as a Respiratory Therapist
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

Background and Compliance Requirements

• Criminal background check within 1 year of start, including:

  • 7-year search
  • Social Security trace
  • County and nationwide checks
  • Sex offender registry
  • Education verification (diploma acceptable in lieu of third-party verification)
  • International searches if candidate has lived/worked outside the US
• MN DHS NetStudy Fingerprint clearance required before start (no pending fingerprints allowed)
• GSA/SAM and OIG excluded provider checks required
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Drug testing (9 panel) within 1 year of start (not required for client clearance but must be done)
• Immunizations and health documentation required:

  • Tdap vaccination (no religious declinations accepted)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray per MN state guidelines
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) proof of immunity or vaccination
  • Hepatitis B vaccination, positive titer, or declination
  • Varicella immunity or vaccination
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or declination (mask required if declined)

Additional Requirements

• Two professional references from recent employers within 2 years
• Skills checklist required
• Completion of facility-specific education modules during orientation (approx. 16 hours)
• Dress code: Dove Gray scrubs (light gray) for RRTs
• Photo for badge with specific requirements (grey background, no selfies, JPG format)
• Confidentiality agreement must be signed prior to start
• Candidates must return badges on last day of assignment

Notes

• Candidates must complete the MN DHS Net Study Questionnaire immediately after signing the contract to initiate fingerprinting process
• Fingerprinting must be completed within 2 weeks of registration
• Candidates may need to travel to a location offering livescan fingerprinting if not available locally
• Facility does not accept first-time travelers; prior travel experience is mandatory
