Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (MS/Tele)

Location: Gardner, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

Shift: 36-hour evening shift (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM)
Target Ratios: 1:5
Call Requirement: None
Float Requirement: None
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend and every other holiday
Unit Orientation: 16 hours (either 2 eight-hour shifts or 2 twelve-hour shifts with a preceptor)
Unit Systems: Omnicell, Meditech Expanse
Scrubs: Any color

Required Qualifications

Specialty: Registered Nurse (MS/Tele)
Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years
Prior Travel Experience: Prior travel experience required; unit does not accept first-time travelers
Licensure: Valid Massachusetts RN license required
Certifications:
- ACLS (AHA Provider, Instructor, or RQI acceptable)
- BLS (AHA Provider, Instructor, or RQI acceptable)
- PALS, NRP, TNCC as required (refer to specific unit requirements)

Compliance and Background Checks

Massachusetts Statewide (iCORI) Release required
7-year Criminal Background Check within 30 days of start, updated annually
EPLS/GSA/SAM check within 30 days of start
HHS/OIG check within 30 days of start
Education Verification or official transcript
Primary Source Verification of State License

Health and Immunization Requirements

Physical exam within 1 year of start
Fit mask test within 1 year of start (acceptable masks: 1870+, 1860, 1860S)
Adult dose of Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years
Negative TB test or chest X-ray per facility guidelines
TB Questionnaire annually in lieu of TB test
Immunity or vaccination for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (positive titer or vaccination series)
- Varicella
Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
Seasonal flu vaccination or documented declination during flu season (Nov 1 - Mar 31)
COVID-19 booster documentation or signed declination

Additional Facility Requirements

Passport-style photo for badge
Completion and signing of various facility-specific agreements and policies (confidentiality, compliance, behavior standards, etc.)
Emergency contact form prior to start
Vehicle registration form prior to start

This position is ideal for experienced Registered Nurses with prior travel assignments who are comfortable working evening shifts in a medical-surgical/telemetry unit environment.
