Registered Nurse — PCU / MedSurg Float

Job Overview

• Travel/contract RN position in Pennsylvania
• Float assignment between PCU and MedSurg
• Night shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Start: ASAP
• No block scheduling
• No call requirements
• Every other weekend and holiday required
• 13-week contract

Unit Details

• 25 beds on each floor
• Ratios: PCU 5:1; MedSurg 7:1

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Pennsylvania
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NIHSS
• Government-issued photo ID
• Emergency contact form before start
• Background check within 1 year of start
• EPLS/GSA/SAM screening annually
• HHS/OIG screening annually
• Medication test/pharmacology competency exam
• Competency exam as applicable by profession
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
• Rubeola documentation
• Mumps documentation
• Rubella documentation
• Hepatitis B documentation
• Varicella documentation
• Drug screen within 1 year of start
• Flu vaccination or declination during flu season
• COVID vaccination card or declination
• 2 professional references within 3 years of start
• Skills checklist annually
• Pennsylvania child abuse search
• Pennsylvania Department of Human Services fingerprint results
• Pennsylvania PATCH search results

• MedSurg and PCU are the assigned departments
• Meditech is the EMR used
