Emergency Room Registered Nurse
Overview
- Travel/contract position in Cedar Rapids, Iowa
- Night shift: 3x12 hours, 5:00 PM to 5:30 AM
- 13-week assignment
- Every third weekend required
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Iowa
- ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
- ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience with Epic
Work Expectations
- Must be willing to float to a free-standing 14-bed ER as needed
- Floating is not mid-shift
Compliance / Pre-Start Requirements
- 2 supervisory references from the specialty
- 10-panel drug screen including THC within 30 days of start
- Background check and required background screenings within 30 days of start
- Physical exam within 1 year of assignment start
- Fit test within 12 months
- TB screening within 90 days of start
- Immunity or documentation for measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and hepatitis B
- Tdap vaccination or declination
- Flu vaccination or approved exemption status
- COVID-19 vaccination is preferred
- Mandatory reporter training/certification for child abuse and dependent adult abuse
- Skills checklist and unit-specific competency testing
- Education verification and diploma/transcript documentation
- Work history verification for the last 7 years
- State license verification before start
