Overview

• Travel/contract role in Overland Park, Kansas
• Night shift: 3x12 hours, 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• 36 hours per week
• 13-week contract
• Float pool position; no home unit
• Patient ratio: 1:5

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Kansas
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Schedule and Assignment Details

• 8 weekend shifts in each 6-week schedule period
• Holiday shifts and charge RN assignments as needed
• May float within scope to multiple Med/Surg Intermediate and PCU units, including other Metro campuses
• No on-call
• No block scheduling

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS

Experience and Skills

• Experience with MS/Tele, telemetry, cardiac telemetry, and neuro stepdown
• Experience with dysrhythmia interpretation and management, telemetry monitoring, pre/post cardiac cath, sepsis, wound care, ETOH, SI, renal failure, AFIB, GIB, stroke, and COVID
• Preferred skills include sheath removal, feeding tube care and management, accessing ports, blood product administration, and central line care/management
