Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Behavioral Health (Nights)

Job Description

• Float position primarily on a children's unit; must have recent experience working with children (within the last 6 months).
• Must be willing to float to all units and take charge shifts.
• Work with a multidisciplinary team to provide complex nursing care in an inpatient psychiatric setting focused on co-occurring disorders.
• Provide clinical supervision of Mental Health Workers to ensure safe and therapeutic care.
• The program offers 24-hour care for patients managing psychiatric issues and substance use disorders.
• Orientation blackout dates and restrictions on time off during the first two weeks apply.

Required Qualifications

• Valid LPN / LVN license in Vermont
• Minimum 1 year of LPN / LVN experience
• LPN / LVN experience within the last year
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Experience working with pediatric patients
• Experience in an inpatient setting
• Experience in supervisory roles
• Behavioral health experience

Additional Information

• Prior travel experience not required; first-time travelers will be considered.
• Orientation includes 8 hours of nonbillable time.
• Call-back and holiday shifts paid at 1.25x rate (minimum 2 hours applies to call-back).
• Cancellation policy allows up to 3 shift cancellations per 13-week contract.
• The position is located in a rural area with limited housing and public transportation options; candidates should plan accordingly.
