Physical Therapist (PT) - Temp Position

Location: Groveton, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Accurately assess and diagnose patient mobility and functional activity deficits.
• Develop individualized treatment plans with patient-centered goals to reduce pain, restore function, and prevent disability.
• Perform patient evaluations including history, systems review, and specific tests/measures.
• Establish and implement plans of care in accordance with physician orders.
• Conduct ongoing reassessments and manage discharge planning from the first visit onward.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to ancillary staff and students per state laws and policies.
• Complete clear, accurate documentation within required timeframes following accreditation and insurance standards.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare team members using AIDET principles.
• Assess and provide education to meet the needs of patients and their support systems.
• Participate in professional development activities such as in-service meetings and workshops.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintain a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff, complying with safety standards.
• Practice within the scope defined by the Texas state practice act.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience.
• Texas state license required (Compact license allowed).
