Registered Nurse (RN) - Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Job Requirements

• Specialty Experience:
  Minimum of 24 months (2 years) of current Intensive Care Unit (ICU) experience is required.

• Licensing:

  • Active Arizona or Compact nursing license required at time of submission.
  • Candidates with an Arizona driver's license will not be considered.

• Certifications:

  • American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) - required.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) BLS (Basic Life Support) - required.
  • Certifications from American Heart Association or American Red Cross only.

• Background and Compliance:

  • No hits on Nursys license verification at time of submission.
  • Must adhere to specific background requirements and attest to compliance.
  • Flu vaccination required; declinations can be applied for (vaccination status must be noted in submission).

• Other Requirements:

  • Resume must include all facilities worked at, facility size, bed count, trauma level, and units.
  • Skills checklist specific to ICU discipline must be completed.
  • Banner Cover Page must be completely filled out with all requested information.
  • Return to Office (RTO) requests will not be approved within the first week or on holidays and cannot exceed 7 days.

• Travel Experience:
  Preferred but not required.

Additional Information

• Start date should be on or very soon after the order start date.
• All shifts, departments, and locations the candidate is willing to work must be clearly listed.
• Candidates must be pre-closed and ready to accept the assignment.
• Non-billable hours are adjusted to 16 hours per assignment.
• Assignments may be canceled with 7 days written notice without penalty.

Summary

This is a temporary ICU Registered Nurse position in Sun City, AZ requiring at least 2 years of ICU experience, active Arizona or Compact license (excluding candidates with AZ driver's license), and current AHA ACLS and BLS certifications. Strict compliance with background checks, vaccination, and documentation requirements is mandatory. Prior travel experience is preferred but not mandatory. The contract length is approximately 13 weeks.
